As these stories have come to my memory, I realise how lucky I have been throughout my life and how fortunate I am to have the time to write them down. I have, in recording them, relived the time of my life that they cover and, in my thoughts mostly, kept company with old friends and relatives.
It follows my life from starting school to my retirement; how I adapted in my life, police encounters as a teenager, dating, marriage, traveling, becoming a father, divorce and then the blending of two households.
I hope you will enjoy this book; my journey, my memories, my life.

He is a level headed young man, and shows he is well able to get on top of those personal problems that do plague us all.
But he has to use all his skills in problem solving when being faced with unexpected happenings at his new job, and living away from home creates its own set of troubles.

What a marvellous week, a wonderful climbing holiday, I was thinking to myself as I walked down the track. Camping in the snow in the national park was extremely lonely; I had not seen another person all week. But my life was to change when I returned to work and home, the young lady I had planned to ask out was no longer at the Road House where I had left my car.
I needed to adopt a completely new way of living, needing to make decisions I had never made before. I was to have a new life.
Mark received a call from his work mate Christine, the call was not expected and he didn’t know her very well. Her call on Saturday night was welcome however, fifty-three members of the lottery club had wone five million dollars.
But on Monday when they returned to work, they realized that all was not the way it seemed. Christine was asked by the owner of the company to get this fixed, and she asked Mark to help her. Mark realizes that living home with Mon and Dad has some disadvantages.
Keeping in touch and getting money out of the bank, only two of the things we did differently back in 1976. This book is not meant to give you travel information, as what I am writing about happened forty years ago. I write about the difference in travelling back then to travelling now, our holiday was quite normal for us and no real hardship. Our caravan was at least fifteen years old, our car been with us five years. I cover emergency repairs to both our car and our caravan.
